that a photo op of a handshake usually involves the two parties gazing into each other's eyes, or otherwise looking attentive to each other, rather than just holding hands and looking everywhere else?

Once the real "op" moment is past the scene is stale - you either got it or you had to be there, although Berlusconi is just saying "please don't photograph me shaking hands with this idiot", so at least he has an excuse.

The first photo he reaches across absent mindedly while shielding his crotch from Bush. Mix that with the yahoo photo of Bush eyeing Alito's lips longingly, and I just think... well... it's just a big freakin' freakfest at the White House. Oh.. add to that Libby's novel about having sex with animals, and... well..
