If Fitz can prove that Libby lied, then he can prove alot more |
|
Just occured to me.
Fitz has indicted and plans to prove that libby lied about how the press found out about plame.
Of course in order to prove that someone lied, you must have information about what the truth really is right? Otherwise the original lie must stand unopposed.
Clearly Libbys statements are opposed and are opposed by credible people.
So it stands to reason, that if Libby lied about him not informing the press, then Fitz has proof that Libby DID inform the press.
SO when Fitz proves that libby lied about not outing the agent, he'll do so by proving that he DID out Plame.
hence Fitz will eventually be indicted for blowing Plames cover as well.

1. Fitz could bring down the entire government |
|
However, they will never let him do that. In the end they would cite National Security.

2. Have you read the indictment? If you haven't you should. Fitz put a lot |
|
more info in there than was necessary just to indict Libby for perjury and obstruction.

It is possible to catch someone in a lie without knowing exactly what the truth is. Sometimes only the contradiction is apparent and it obscures the ability to discern the truth.
That being said...Fitzgerald's indictment contains a boatload more information than he needed to include. He knows or suspects something.
So yes, you can prove someone lied without knowing the truth but in this case I think Fitz may know much of the truth. I think there are still some gaps he needs to fill but overall he's got a pretty good idea of the big picture.

4. You're not serious, are you? |
|
"SO when Fitz proves that libby lied about not outing the agent, he'll do so by proving that he DID out Plame."
Are you seriously saying that?
Once Plame was outed, that was IT. In fact, I think I see, within the indictment, the central idea that she could only be outed once.
Fitzgerald is NOT going to be indicted over this, okay?
