Howard Kurtz on the PlameGate coverage
I'm not sure what to make of this article in the Washington Post today, but at least Kurtz gets the Cheney part right:

The underlying issue in the Plame debacle -- the alleged manipulation of intelligence used to justify a war and retaliating against a critic, Joe Wilson, who challenged that effort -- is arguably more important than the Clinton-era debates over whether oral sex was sex. And it was Cheney who told his aide that Wilson's wife worked for the CIA's Counterproliferation Division.

Personally I would argue with the use of the word "arguably." Is there really any argument? 2000 plus American soldiers dead, At least 30,000 Iraqis dead, versus one satisfied President and a dress with a little stain. We can send the dress to the cleaners, but we can't bring back the dead, at least I don't think we can.

But most important here is the fact that Kurtz flat out says Cheney told his aide. PlameGate is about Cheney, no question about it. Cheney was in charge of pre-war intelligence, he wanted Wilson smeared, he sent his lap dog out to do it, and as we now know his lap dog pissed all over the judicial system.

2. LOL! Ain't that the truth.
I've always wondered about him ever since he tried to sweep under the rug everything pertaining to Gannongate.
