Stop being so F***ing Pessimistic about Plame Case
One thread after another about how disappointing it is that only one person was indicted and how the case will go nowhere because a Republican Judge has been assigned to it.

1) That one person was the Chief of Staff to the VP of the USA--that is not some small time operator, but a big time operator.

2) If "Scooter" wants to cut a deal so he won't have to serve 30 plus years in prison--he will have to talk--and implicate others.

3) Yes, a Republican Judge has been assigned to the case--but, during Watergate Judge Sirica was also a "card carrying Republican" who said, "Hell yes, I'm a Republican!" and he was pretty tough.

So stop crying and keep the pressure up. How can we all do that?

1) Write op-ed pieces/letters to editor to newspapers about the indictment and the obvious involvement of the WH in leaking a CIA operators name.

2) Get involved now in grass roots organizing for '06--If Dems win congress they will have the power to investigate and subpoena. And don't say, "We can't win because of Diebold"--well if that's the case we will never win because the only way we can change diebold is to have congress back and investigate that too.

3) Contribute to progressive campaigns and candidates.

4) Let's see where this trial and continued investigation by Fitz leads us.

For Goodness Sake! Stay positive and don't let the GOP talking points or the MSM get you down.

1. I ignore them
It's not worth my time to try to debate or comfort the wailing choir here anymore.

Anybody who's read up on Fitzgerald and his taking down of George Ryan and Gotti knows this isn't over..

2. Cutting the deal.

And ask yourself the question, "Does Fitz cut a deal with a high level like Libby to be able to indict some middle-level staffers?" The clear answer is, "No." He's after big fish. But there are only so many big fish left. Who? Rove, Cheney, Bush, and some people over at State, like Bolton. We don't know who he's after. But we suspect that it's at least Rove.

This is but one of many victories to come. At the end of the day, this + war + deficit + SC + (insert name of Repug under indictment) = failure.

You can win with a thousand cuts as well as with one fatal blow.....
