Bush Voted 'Weaseliest Individual' in Dilbert.com Poll

NEW YORK George W. Bush was named the "weaseliest individual" in Dilbert.com's fourth annual "Weasel Poll," which drew nearly 40,000 voters. The president received 13,059 votes, followed by Karl Rove with 4,915.

There were also five other poll categories. The "weaseliest organization" was the White House (with 10,794 votes), followed by the Republican Party (7,234). The "weaseliest country" was the "U.S.A. -- includes Iraq" (16,083), followed by France (7,322). The "weaseliest profession": politicians (13,453), followed by lawyers (7,206) and, in fourth place, the news media (6,059). The "weaseliest behavior": advocating the teaching of Intelligent Design in schools (9,661), followed by gas price gouging (7,828) and "reporting it as 'finding supplies' when white people loot" (6,157).

And, in the closest race, oil companies (9,639) edged Halliburton (9,571) as "weaseliest company." The third- and fifth-place finishers were Fox News (7,059) and The New York Times (5,953).

"It looks as if the poll results reflect the opinions of many people outside the United States. Now you know why I'm afraid to travel," quipped "Dilbert" cartoonist Scott Adams, who announced the results Tuesday. His comic appears in more than 2,000 newspapers via United Media.
