The Republican political game in Virginia...
Someone has chosen Virgina as the state for Bush to visit in this latest political experiment by the Republicans. He goes and gives a quick appearance for the Repub candidate for Governor. Then gets out of town. If the Repub beats Kaine for the Governorship, then they will say that Bush isnot as damaged as some Democrats and some in the media have portrayed. This will relieve many of the nervous Republicans that are now running from Bush's low poll numbers.

If the Repub loses, but it is very close, they will portray that as a victory also. Most pollsters show the race to be very close. But the White HOuse will show the results as proof that Bush isn't "hurting" any of the Repub candidates. They expect to spin it as "positive", no matter how it turns out. Unless, of course, the Repub were to lose in a landslide. But few expect that to happen.

1. I wish Bush had given Kilgore lots more "help."
Then the race wouldn't be close at all.

showed up in Norfolk two weeks ago when Duh'bya was there, but he didn't.
