Welcome to another edition of the WILL-AM Media Matters email update!

THIS WEEK'S GUEST

Our guest this week is Robert Greenwald. Greenwald's new movie,
WALMART: The High Cost of Low Price, has just been released. His
previous movies include Outfoxed, Unprecedented, and Uncovered.

There are several local screenings of WALMART this week:
* Channing-Murray Foundation and the Social Justice Committee of the
Unitarian Universalist Church present the premiere screening of "Wal-
Mart: The High Cost of Low Price." The film will be shown on big
screen at Channing-Murray Foundation, 1209 W. Oregon, Urbana, on
Monday, November 14th, at 7:00 p.m.
* November 17th (Thursday), 7pm in the Education building, UIUC (2
Education 1301 South Sixth Street).

In coming weeks we will feature Kembrew McLeod, Mark Crispin Miller,
and Sam Husseini.

LAST WEEK'S GUESTS

Last week's guest was David Barsamian, founder and director of
Alternative Radio, the independent award-winning weekly series based
in Boulder, Colorado.

OTHER INFORMATION

Last August we interviewed local media activists about developments
at the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center, such as the
purchase of a building in downtown Urbana and the pending launch of a
new community radio station, WRFU, based at the IMC. WRFU will be
launched as part of a 'radio barnraising' being held at the IMC this
weekend, 11-13 November, in association with the Prometheus Radio
