The republicans have to lie and deny the origins of their Iraq war
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 08:48 PM by Postman
because if they admit they lied (as most sane people now see) it will be decades before they have a majority in national gov't.

They are in panic mode. The horse is out of the barn and he's running like the wind. It'll be next to impossible to round him up and put him back.

1. Constitutional Amendment for Bush's third term
If it were possible, the Republican Majority of All of Washington would push for a constitutional amendment for a third and possible fourth term for the Omni benevolent President Bush(Sarcasm or course). The worst thing is even after all these lies are exposed and it is found we went to war under false information and intelligence generated by the President of the United States(arguably the most powerful man in all the world) the american people would still vote him in to office for more terms. For some reason the American people love Liars of Mass proportions in powerful positions in America. That is of course if the use Gods name every few days. And kill a deer and look real when they do so. I mean come on. This Dude and his administration is so incompetent and yet we cant find someone to expose this and Take control of the Nation. We as Democrats really need to step up and look at politics and the games that are played and need to start playing the right games by the right rules and Win back washington before it is too late.

2. Welcome to DU
but I think we are seeing a similar evolution to Nixon.. bush will leave as one of the most hated presnits ever... and you will have a problem finding who voted for him.

4. i hope you are right
But with the way things are happening at the moment i cant see it going down like that. The American people are about as conservative as they have ever been (at least those who vote are). And they seem ever so willing to let alot more illegal activity go for Conservatives then Liberals. I mean just look at the big picture. President Clinton gets chastised about lying about his marital or extra marital affairs, President Bush clearly lies and misleads our nation in to War(the most awful experience possible) and he seems to want to push the blame off on the minority in Washington. He will probably be successful in this attempt and get away with this. That is very dissappointing.... like President Truman said,"The Buc stops here." The down fall of the nation is to be blamed first on the Commander and Chief then down the line you can point the blame. Why has the Right side of the nation forgot this and abandoned it completely?

5. Thank you
i feel i should introduce myself briefly I am a 21 yr old College Student. with aspirations to run for Senator in time. I have grown to be fed up with the Christian Right wing movement (closed minded people) of the County. Don't get me wrong I am a christian myself as well. But i am not of the same belief as these fanatics. My god is one of forgiveness not of Grim-stone and Fire. repeatedly i have looked for places where i could talk politics with other sensible people and it appears i may have found such place. Thank you
