The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
last weeknd, hofstra university hosted a four-day clinton symposium. it looked back at every aspect of the clinton presidency from foreign and domestic policy to the way the media treated clinton.
i was invited invited to participate on a panel entitled, “EDITORIAL CARTOONISTS AND THE CLINTON PRESIDENCY, THE GIFT THAT KEPT ON GIVING.”
the panel consisted of me, two other editorial cartoonists, a cartoonist from the new yorker, plus about a half-million monica cartoons.
prior to my panel, i attended clinton’s speech that kicked-off the conference. he took credit and responsibility for the successes and failures of his administration.
after the speech, i shook his hand. he told me he follows my cartoons and mentioned one he had seen the previous sunday in the ny times.
he was very kind to me despite all the monica cartoons.
below is one of the cartoons i showed during my panel.
