chimpy Did Another Photo-Op Speech With The Troops in South Korea. BARF!
Edited on Sat Nov-19-05 06:14 AM by leftchick
~"We will fight the terrorists in Iraq. We will stay in the fight until we have achieved the victory that our brave troops have fought for," Bush told thousands of American troops spilling out of a cold hangar at this U.S. military installation 40 miles south of Seoul. "The defense of freedom is worth our sacrifice."~

"OUR sacrifice"??? :grr: :puke:

U.S. President George W. Bush, left, reaches out to shake hands after speaking before American troops stationed at Osan Air Base in South Korea, Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005. His war policies under siege at home, Bush said Saturday there would be no early troop withdrawal because 'sober judgment' must prevail over emotional calls to end the military mission before Iraq is stabilized. The stop was en route from a three-day stay here to China for the most closely watched segment of the president's weeklong Asian swing. (AP Photo/Charlie Dharapak)

6. And even that can't get him any enthusiasm from his audiences.
I suppose the soldiers can at least be trusted not to throw rotten tomatoes....

Edited on Sat Nov-19-05 07:41 PM by goclark
with open arms?

Can't you just imagine Clinton with only one hand reaching out to him in a crowd.

I saw a pohoto with one person in the crowd taking a picture of him.

5. Osan AIR Base--why didn't the Chimp head up north and visit the 2nd ID
...the "boots on the ground" who sustained many casualities in Iraq?

Rumsfeld visited Kadena AIR Base on Okinawa the other day. Visiting the fighter squadrons and rubbing elbows with the Top Guns for the cameras is always cool, but those folks aren't in Iraq, Rummy, you coward.

7. What a tool
God I hate that man. The first pic they all look so thrilled to be there listening to this knot-head.

There are troops that freely admit to voluntarily staying in Korea to avoid Iraq. Some of them support the war but apparently don't think it is worth dying for themselves, others are against it and refuse to fight in it either for the first time or again. Hubby falls into the latter group, the "doesn't want to do it again" part of the latter group. He's signing papers to stay there for 3 years total to avoid that mess.

12. Does he ever - EVER - appear in front of NON-military crowds?
Beyond his "assistance" to Kilgore in VA on election eve, I can't think of a single occasion in recent memory.

15. Bush lecturing on sobriety is like Rep. Jean Schmidt lecturing on bravery
as she cowers behind the words somebody else gave her to smear a veteran exercising the democratic rights he fought for (and she didn't).

he said they'd fought and bled (but not died) for it. Someone must have coached him not to say bled.
