How about Laura Logan as CBS News Anchor?

I think she's GREAT! If CBS is considering a woman, why not her? I still think John Roberts or Scott Pelie would be a GREAT choice, But Katie Couric? No thanks!A while back there was talk of Anderson Cooper taking over. Anderson has done some 60 Minutes reports which really confuses me. How can CNN allow him to do this? Of course, this talk was before Katrina & his new popularity.

is tough though. Some may not think so with her soft British accent, but she flat out told Bob Sheiffer this week that Rumsfeld was a liar when he claimed the roads to the Airport were in Iraqi control. She said thats not true & showed US troops taking charge & directing traffic. Now that I think of it, because of this she may NOt be considered. We all know qwe must be friendly to the Bush cartel & Katie sure seems to throw soft questions towards anyone from the White House these days. IMO, if Katie is hired ratings will drop.

4. She's been in Iraq for a LONG time

from what I hear. Her coverage is very good. She does alot of stories for 60 Minutes & think CBS would be smart considering a woman for the job. I think Laura Logan could bring in viewers of all ages.Just my two cents.

I am getting comfortable with CBS nightly news again -- and now if Couric comes in, I will have to leave. I cannot stand her. Scheiffer has surprised me pleasantly lately. Why don't they keep him - is it an age thing?

I saw her again tonight & think she would Kick Katie's ass out of the water! I'm even going to email CBS & suggest her. Yes, its a long shot but I think she would be GREAT if they are looking for a woman!
