if I could. We're seeing in front of our eyes the exact reason she would take the party down in 2008.

I see this poll as conclusive proof that demonization works.
They will tear her apart and make her look like a fruit cake because of the war issue.

She must exit immediately....and the party has to completely get its act together about this war....or risk losing in 2008.
It's not about sitting back and kind of gloating about how it is a mess and how we really had nothing to do with it.

Clark is the only one I've seen that's potentially in the running that can articulate why it's a can of worms....who is knowledgeable enough to educate the masses about the region and what's going on...etc etc.

He has been on a number of programs where they have hit him with the most difficult questions about the war...and he comes up with brilliant, unfaltering answers every time....and they are sincere and from the heart....and they are BELIEVABLE.

10. It's even worse than that....

Limbaugh has carefully demonized the entire Vietnam era....saying it is iconic of the libs that we were weak and lost the war. To be strong is to be steadfast...to understand that we're going to be at war for years to come...and that it will involve losing lives, etc, etc.

Truth....we couldn't win Vietnam. We successfully trained the Vietnamese but couldn't win the war politically. Hmmmm...sounds similar to Iraq doesn't it?

It is this driving war mentality....an environment that they know is conducive to the demonization of the libs....in which we cannot stand a chance of winning...because libs have been successfully associated with weakness, cowardess, etc.

So....Kerry was seen not as a hero who had the guts to stand up and say that Vietnam was a hopeless cause....and to save lives, not continue to lose lives, etc....but as a spinless, unsteady, untrustworthy scum bag who just didn't get it. Why when you're in a war god dammit you have to fall in line, do as your told, support your troops, etc etc.

The same will be applied, only by a factor of 100 more effectiveness....
