That LBN story about polar bears drowning... and the image of them |
|
swimming alone in the ocean with no land in sight..... and drowning... all due to global warming. Well, it is the saddest most loneliest image I can think of. It haunts me.

2. Actually, I didn't see an image, I just meant the image in my head of it. |

3. I have had that image in my head too. |
|
Of a mother swimming with her babies, trying to find a patch of ice.
And they say global warming is nonsense. That there is no such thing. :grr:

9. I have been a huge environmental/animal supporter for half of my life |
|
my husband would be horrified if he knew just how much "we" donated. :)
NRDC is truly one of the best and ads like this are necessary to get folks attention! I could show you some great anti-circus/anti-captive wild animal ads from API if you would like. :)

11. I have the greatest respect and admiration for the NRDC. |
|
I was reading their recent publication, One Earth, last night, which includes a study of endocrine disruption caused by all the chemicals in our atmosphere. Very worrisome.
On the polar bear issue, I can't bring myself to look at the image, or else I'll end up walking around with hate in my heart towards all right-wingers and environment-destroyers today.
My funds are down to zilch because my income has taken a terrible hit this year, but I'm going to write another check to NRDC. If I do any good on earth during my life, then let it be for the animals who cannot defend themselves.

12. I can't stand to look at it or think about it. I made a trip in 1988 above |
|
Hudson Bay to view the polar bears in the wild. I actually thought about moving there to work with the bears. They are truly one of the most majestic creatures in the world.
