What does "loving America" mean to Republicans?

Apparently, it means holding loyalty to Bush over loyalty to God, voting Republican, loving war, and hating gays. Also, having no respect for the Constitution except the 2nd Amendment

And hatred of Liberals; they see America as caught in a manichean struggle between the forces of good (Republicans, Conservative Christians, "good" American citizens (who happen largely to be Republican and Conservative Christian) and the forces of evil (everybody else).

not the land - they're against environmental protections of all kinds
not the people - they're against rights & protections for consumers, workers, veterans, voters, etc.
not the ideals - they've be gutting the Constitution as it suits them

it's the same patriotism all conservatives in all countries have always felt and tried to impose on the rest of their various societies. There's nothing "American" about it. It's just monkeys screaming themselves into submission out of fear of the outside, out fear of what's beyond the tribe, of what's out there in the night, of what may lie beyond death. And in their hate and fear they batter everyone else to be like them.
