Pet Peeve: Misleading DU Headlines
Edited on Sun Oct-26-03 11:09 AM by TruthIsAll
Like: Mr. X Can't Beat Bush
and the post proceeds to tell us why he can

or: Hooray for Mediawhore X
and the poster tells us that, now that he/she has our attention...

Come on, folks, tell us the gist of the post in the header; that should be enough to get our attention. Trust our interest level. Let us decide if we want to view it. Trickery is for the Rove propagandists.

3. May I add, posts with title and link only..... no excerpt, /comments
Please folks, at least cut and paste just a bit so that we can see if it is interesting enough to us personally to click on the link. Why not also add your "take on it..." Some DUERS wonder why their posts never get a response... ths could be why!

For those with slow connections (and some wireless), clicking on a link can be time consuming...

So how about it folks, just a bit of extra effort?

5. That's why I prefer LBN
Higher standards. Fewer violent incidents. I still glean some good info from GD but one must be willing to slog through a lot of sewage to find it. It's too bad really. I'm hesitant to send folks to DU because of this.

6. It's not just YOUR attention I was after in that post.
I want the Freepers to read the message also so that they know just what kind of sleaze balls they are supporting. Sorry if I offended anyone but we are all adults here, I hope.

8. Condi Rice is hearing voices!
Remember that one, T? ;-)

I prefer clear and concise non-misleading headlines as well :-)
