war against the Russians).

Charlie Wilson is an arrogant, repulsive person (ex Democratic senator). Americans didn't give a hoot about what happened to Afghanistan after the Russians were defeated.

Kinzer also talked about what the U.S. did in Iraq in the 50s destroying their democracy.

And we know what has happened in Chile, Central America, etc. etc.

Kinzer said the planes of 9/11 were not just planes but the world bringing home some of what we have wrought in other countries.

This has me made me very, very disillusioned about all our policies. At home we keep the population ignorant; Americans are fed pap through stupid TV, movies, fundamentalism, and tabloids. Abroad we take out representative governments, treat other peoples as if they were worse than rubbish, steal their resources, and put their people to work for pennies a day until we find a cheaper place to do the same.

What kind of moral authority do we have left?

I don't think the Democrats in Congress are so much different from the Repugs (with very few exceptions). I am not sure about any of our candidates that "have a chance to win" against Bush. I am ABB but will we behave a lot better if the Democrats come to power in 2004?

I will still vote Democratic... but will it really make a difference whatsoever?
