that's it. I'm voting for Bush |
|
After all, we can't have a candidate who actually wants Bush to get any votes, can we?
We can't support a candidate who considers himself the good of all Americans, can we?
No, of course not, we want an exclusionary candidate, a candidate who hates the people who hate him.
We don't want what's best for America, we want what's best for us, right?
Dean wants everyone to vote for him and I just can't abide by that. Nosiree. I'm going republican.
After all, they know how to hate much better than we do.

Made you think, didn't it? So many forums all a-twitter about Dean and his comment. Let the South review it and come to their own conclusion; they know what the C-flag means to each of them from their own perspective, and that is what matters. Remember there are a lot of people in the world who think those who support the American flag are violent predators, selfish consumers who are afflicted with blind self-righteousness.
Yes, I lived in the South. No, I would never support the C-flag. Yes, I would vote for Dean. No, my mind isn't made up on my favorite Dem candidate.

hell if I know what it is, though.
These days I look for those little lock icons. That's where the real interesting stuff is.

5. That comment of his got me to thinking. |
|
I had previously written Dean off as too far left, too New England to be able to win. Now that he is trying to reach the southern vote, really trying and taking a risk in doing it, I have to back up and think again. Dean may actually be electable. Maybe. I still think his promise to completely repeal the tax cut will be seen as a Mondale like pledge to raise taxes.

7. another repub dirty trick. |
|
make huge draconian tax cuts, so that anyone who says they'll repeal them can be labelled as "raising taxes".
Why does anyone with half a brain (i.e. the media) fall for this bullshit?

8. I think Dean's comments has brought out a fascinating aspect of |
|
today's political terrain.
That is, we're all at war with each other.
The current World Wrestling Federation style of bash-a-thon politics, led by the republicans starting with Limbaugh and the Reaganites and going on into today ....
It's created a world where we've all staked out our territories and rather than being inclusive and thinking about what's good for AMERICA as a whole, we're obsessed with protecting our turf.
Which makes sense, since they declared war on us over two decades ago. And frankly we've been getting our asses kicked.
What I saw in Dean's comment was pretty fascinating -- the notion that he wants a vote from someone who probably, traditionally, hates him!
To me, that's a bold, unprecedented step.
Like I said, I want everyone to vote for Dean. And noone to vote for Bush.

10. Yes, We have been getting clobbered. |
|
And 2004 is critical. If W wins big in 04, and he has already shown that he had coattails and will campaign for congressperson, then we will be marginalized in 04. Then for 2 years we lose the ability to filibuster and they get a free ride. They have a lot of bills to pay to the far right that will then present the IOUs.
