Bush and zero funerals
Anyone else find it disgusting that Bush spends hundreds of days on vacation, but somehow, can't muster the up time to visit a single soldier's funeral?

:puke:

I don't think it's a time issue, I think it's the typical 'rich' mindset that you are better than the poor and working. To walk among them would be walking among filth...

god i hate him.

1. ...
I think it's because if he went to every funeral he'd have every funeral reported in the media. Which is probably a bad thing, for him at least.

2. The rich are the filth
Never forget that.

All they do is exploit, cheat, and steal.

They created the system and they want the status quo maintained because they'd be affected most if a civilized society were to be put into place.

3. Besides the no show at funerals
It is amazing the way the press stays away from the fact that this guy works 3 days a week ....at most. This is another example of the kid gloves treatment this jerk is given.:puke:

4. The media is ignoring the story
so his stratergerity is working. If he goes to one funeral he might have to go to more. If the media did make it an issue, he'd go. Right now, it's out of sight, out of mind.

5. We need to write in bulk to all our congressmen and senators and tie
their re-election chances into airing the returns. Make it a
patriotic thing. Twist their tails. These people need to be
remembered and publicly.

8. Guilt by association
Bush probably doesn't want to be seen in any context that might make it seem like he is in some way connected to the war. Honestly, I really believe that to be the case.

15. Yes
But, hasn't every other president attended funerals of returning military personnel, even if it was not in the best of circumstances?

10. He has no honor
He does not attend funerals, and does not receive bodies returning from abroad. God asked him to start the war, but God apparently has not commanded him to pay any respect to anyone.

I hope the nominee crucifies Bush on his dishonorable cowardice.

11. It's disgusting. He should be forced to look at what he has wrought.
It brings back memories of March, when he said he wasn't watching war coverage...that he had dinner with Laura then went to bed. Shame on him. When you think of Lincoln...growing haggard and drawn, visiting the destruction, pained over the great loss of life. This man should be ashamed to show his face.

12. Even his Poppy, King George I,
had the decency to watch all the coverage of the first Gulf War he could, staying at the WH until all hours, staying on top of things, and attending funerals. And he also had the wisdom and foresight to pull out when he did instead of trying to remove Saddam Hussein ( he gave all the reasons why in a later interview, and everything he said would have happened has happened under his idiot progeny). Too bad he didn't do that with Barbara, so he wouldn't have foisted this idiot on us and the rest of the world.

16. Well yar but he will maybe call them the 'casketboys' and
every one would have to come out the next day and try to clean that up.We would have to live with a week of his people saying what he really means. I could not take it.

14. He's on vacation as we speak.
Not really a vacation, but a hastily arranged "break". The last photo of him from last week showed a confused-looking looking man who's wondering how long he can keep up the charade. His eyes were glazed over, and he had a 2-mile stare which made him look suspiciously drunk.

This is a man who has absoluely nothing in common with his constituents. As a president, he has not inspired us to work together to overcome hardships.

Think back to some previous presidents, who got everyone to pool together, like growing a victory garden, rationing, sacrificing for the common good. Today, we are sacrificing for his good.

He sold us down the river.
