Let's pretend we're WH Beat Reporters. What will we ask McClellan tomorrow?
Edited on Sun Nov-02-03 10:01 PM by VolcanoJen
Here's mine:

"Thank you, sir. Given that Central Command issued warnings about a "Day of Resistance," or "Rage," if you will, during the opening days of Ramadan, why did the Chinook helicopter leave from an unsecured launching/landing zone? The warnings specifically spoke of possible attacks by surface-to-air missiles. Was an alternate, secure launching/landing zone available to the soldiers preparing to leave for R&R? Was a specific decision made on Sunday to transport the soldiers to Baghdad International Airport from an unsecured launching/landing zone, rather than via a secure ground route? Was a secure ground route available? Who made the specific decision?"

Your turn...

wearing your double strength diapers?

number 2) why did the DOD ignore the five million dollar State Department Assessment of post war Iraq? was it because they were intent on forcing the Chalabi faction's POV down everybody's throat?

number 3) why do they continue to ignore its existence, then LIE about the fact that they had no way of even conCEIVING that so many of the outcomes predicted in said report came to fruition?

2. Scott...
can you give us some idea how ridiculous your spin is going to be on this?

For example, if you're going to tell us this is in some way good news, give us a warning.

13. Simple Scotty.........
"Last week the president said that the increase in attacks in Iraq was a sign of our success. Yesterday, we saw the most Americans killed in Iraq since the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Does the president consider yesterday as an even greater sign of coalition success and what would total success look like for American military personnel?"

May I pile on, Trish?

}(

Did the President enjoy thinning the cedar at the ranch yesterday? Did any of his staff inform him of the outcome of the previously videotaped Texas Rangers game from 1991?

Edited on Sun Nov-02-03 10:12 PM by Cush
"First off, we never said anything about possible attacks over the weekend. Those reports came from other sources, not us. Second, the launch sites were secure, they were being guarded by newly trained police officers. This shows progress and this is what the terrorists are trying to stop. Next question please"

16. Good question, but ol' Scott would brudh it off in half a second:
"You know I have to refer you to the DoD for answers to operational questions..."

My follow up: Scott, given the fact that this attack was the bloodiest attack on our military since the Cole, shouldn't the president make a statement directly to the American people?"

Let him dance around that one without making the chimp look like either a coldhearted SOB or a Coward.

18. What a great follow-up, Reporter John_H!
You're right, I should know better. My question is best addressed to Gen. Abizaid, who wouldn't answer it, either.

Excellent. The President should absolutely make a statement directly to the American people about the soon-to-be-infamous Ramadan Offensive.

And as a follow up: Can you comment on the fact that the Clinton administration is responsible for all bad things that happen in the world?

22. Scott, the Justice Dept is investigating the breach of national
security, and since Bob Novak wrote his column exposing Valerie Plame who worked for the CIA Directorate of NOC, and was a covert agent working specifically on WMDs, CIA agents have been killed in Afghanistan?

They worked for the CIA Directorate of NOC w/ Valerie Plame, so has Mr. Asscroft enforced the Patriot Act in the WH by wiretapping all phones etc?

Watch the worm squirm!

The media's treatment of Bush is why I'm a journalism/Political Science double major. Keep it up.

Scott, if you can't find Novak's source in the WH, how the hell are you supposed to find Bin Laden and Saddam in the whole wide world?
