Tonight's CBS tribute brought tears.
I shouldn’t be, but I am. I watched the CBS 75th thing, and it was wonderful. I never really realized just how many shows they had that I watched as a kid growing up.

What shocked me is that they did not touch on “Good Times” at all. I cannot understand why the producers of this special did that, but I think it is a critical omission. I can, however, say that there were so many sitcoms that made this network a progressive leader for so many years. That made tonight a really cool reminiscence of what TV was, and could still be.

The best part:

My main man, one Walter Cronkite, making this statement at the very end of the program:

“And that’s the way it is, Sunday, November 2nd.”

Goddamit, I miss him.

He's a REAL human being......an honorable and excellent journalist....one of a kind. He's been critical of Bush too!

3. The Tiffany Network
Anyone remember the short-lived CBS Cable? I still miss that channel.

6. Me, too, maddog.
I agree with you on Good Times, as well. I thought it had a very important message for its time.
