confederate flags and patriotism? |
|
Ok, here's the lowdown.
As bad as Osama is, and he's a real bastard, who's the worst traitor in the history of the USA?
The confederacy. They are accountable for the bloddiest war in US history. The union lost nearly 30,000 troops at Fredricksberg, and that was 10 times the number on 9/11, horrible as that day was.
Now, this isn't an indictment against Dean, regardless of the Kerry. pic... Its that I fail to see the fasination with the Confederacy, left or right.
So, over a hundred years later, and some parts of America idolize the confederacy. We saw this with Cleland's loss in GA.
In a hundred years, will it be ok for me to wave a "I love Osama" flag around? Yet the confederacy is responsable for far more deaths than Bin Laden is (hopefully).
What gives?

Ok, lets use the "American Taliban."
The biggest traitors in US history are the Rebs. So why do we honor their flag and their memory?
