A GOP GOTV guy came to my door--you would have been so proud! |
|
Tomorrow's the city election in Fayetteville. I get to choose two candidates: for city council, I can either have a DINO who's kinda moderate or a write-in Repug. And for mayor, I get to choose between a DINO who's only slightly more moderate than the city council guy, or a Repug. Guess how I'm voting?
A GOTV guy for the Repug mayoral candidate came to my door this evening. I opened the door, and before he got a chance to say a word...
"Good evening. I'm a lifelong Democrat. You should be ashamed of yourself."
Those Adidas he had on work real well...

I know of one repug in CA who got a call from the party asking what he thought of Whistle Ass. Said the repug, "He's a disgrace to the party," and the party guy agreed!

are just as mean to me when I go doorknocking. I mean, come on, say no thank you, and show some curtesy. Even if he is a Repug.

Don't EVER show respect to a repuke! Never! They make me sick with that smug grin when they know they are lying to your face!

for everyone is the best way to go. Unless someone personally has disrespected me first - I can handle someone not having my same party registration.

You should volunteer to help drive Republican voters "to the polls". Getting lost, or running out of gas are not crimes.

7. try to see how long you can detain the republican candidate |
|
stay undecided as long as possible during the conversation.
keep asking questions.
get out your checkbook. get your pen. then stall a little longer.
keep asking questions about what your leftwing friends have said about the Republican hypocrisy.
when the candidate finally gives up and begins walking away, inform him/her there's no way in hell you'd vote for a member of the party that sold its soul.
