CBS Reagan Miniseries question |
|
First, I'd have never heard of it if it hadn't gotten so much publicity... but, I have a question. A congressman threatened to pull the license of CBS for airing the Reagan miniseries, and the right has been all up in arms that the miniseries might not deify Reagan.
In response to a friend of mine, was there a similar outcry when a network recently ran a long puff piece on current president Bush*? (was that Showtime?) Anybody threaten to pull licenses or boycott?

That was perfectly fine. The truth is not a good thing and we'll pull the license of anybody who tells it. That'll teach 'em. The Professor

2. Gee, that one included a lot of dialogue that the writers |
|
had no access to.
And a lot of totally fabricated scenes.
And yet, it was run.

"The Hunting of the President" a documentary ever sees the light of day it will meet the same fate. The right-wing is determined to control all media including movies. Only Swartzenegger and Willis and Gibson movies will be allowed and the more violent the better.
