Great Letter to Zell Miller
My husband sent this letter to Zell Miller after watching him on Imus this morning. I thought it was great and had to share.

Letter to Zell Miller - under his website's category "autographed Photograph"

I request you sign your photo and send it to the Smithsonian to be put on display as a well meaning but dishonest old man. This reaction comes after watching your appearance on the IMUS TV show as a southern relic rattling on like an old dog under a porch with a copperhead attached to it's tail.

Your Iraq/copperhead analogy would have been more accurate if you had mentioned you supplied the copperhead with extra venom when it invaded neighboring snake pits. Or found it convenient to use the copperheads to degrade a mutual enemy even if it meant looking the other way during mass atrocities. Not to mention the cobras you fostered to defeat the Russians in Afghanistan then came back and bit us.

You should get a grip on your repulsion of President Clinton and the system you have made a career of. For all your lamenting of what’s wrong, you left no lasting impression on party or nation or had the will to change it. You do know how to cash-in on criticism of it. Like Clinton, you cheat, but you cheat on your party for just a little more popularity, more fame, and one more election. You have done your analysis and know where to be to be close to power.

During these troubled times when Americans are dying and there are so many important issues to discuss, it is sad to see a Democrat being used as a talk show oddity because of his ideological deformity. You come off as the Southern Al Sharpton; to be trotted out as an example of a Democrat the Republicans love.

Glad to see you retire, you should have done it years ago.

25. I always figured when you weren't faithful to your wife you cheated.
Clinton was most definitely unfaithful to his wife and for that I would lable him a cheater.

6. Please Don't Get My Husband Wrong . . .
he loves Bill. His comment was in reference to Miller's comments this morning (guess you had to hear it), saying Bush would never cheat on his wife.

12. i don't give a shit if he cheats
he was 'elected' president, not national HUSBAND. and frankly his interest in War instead of pussy has ME worried.
I would rather have a randy dog(JFK, clinton) to a insipid AA ass(George, hoover)!

14. Of course, there's a good chance bush did cheat on Laura, but
since anything about shrub pre (and post) 9/11 is now off-limits, who knows?

I think Smell doth protest too much.

10. how great were the clinton years
in that the only major story during Monicagate was...Monicagate. People had jobs, and no one was dying off in other nations. I want that era back.

8. Beautious!!! I sent one to him too
But my topic was Web Site problems. I told them there was something wrong with their web page as it had the word "Democrat" under his name, and it should say either "Republican" or "Traitor"

11. I don't agree with everything Zell Miller says, but he's largely...
...correct in his criticims of the democratic party. I didn't hear the Imus show, but I've seen him interviewed several times recently and he seems to me very sincere in this concern about the party. His views are no different than John Breaux, Evan Baye, Harold Ford, and many other dems who see the party moving too far left ala McGovern, Mondale, etc.... The republicans have the same problem when they pander to religious conservatives and wander too far right. And I've heard him praise Bill Clinton as moving the party in the right direction. But he does have a problem with his personal behavior. That seems reasonable to me. Miller's rhetoric can be harsh, but if you are willing to listen he is being constructive. The party should listen to him. He's doing it a favor.

19. I'm not sure what you mean.
Don't you know who Evan, Harold, John are? They are senior members of the party, all moderates. I'm not sure what Millers positions are on the issues you've mentioned. And neither are you. I expect though he's probably for reform, probably in much the same way Clinton would be. They're both centrists.

16. Miller Is A Tratorious Pig
All of the individuals you have named are sell outs in their own way.

And in case you haven't noticed the Republicans are still pandering to the religious right, and in the case of Haley Barbour, the pro-white vote as well.

What was it that Miller said on Meet The Press, 5500 blacks hold elected political office in the south. What is the percentage of the black population in the south, because 5500 doesn't even sound like 1% of the total black population.

I would guess that you like Miller don't believe in a two party system
just one party governed by religious zealots, racists, and where the wealthy make the rules for the poor to follow.

Didn't Miller at one time believe in fiscal responsibility, and wasn't he against deficits while he was governor, sounds like Zell got the brass ring on the "I love Bush merry go round"

Miller has no integrity, but since for the time being this is a free country, you can praise anyone you want.

21. Miller is not religious zealot.
I believe he's pro-choice isn't he? I've always found him to be pretty moderate about everything. He does tend to spout off though. But he says things that many others are thinking. And I see no reason to believe he's a racist. Thats rediculous.

I wish I remembered exactly what he said about fiscal resp on MTP, because he did answer that. I agree Bush is barrow and spend bigtime. But no other dems are doing anything about it either. They're all guilty, including Zell.

17. BS meter/Troll alert!!!
Fuck all of you repigs who think it's your duty to warn us Dems that we better watch out. Anytime a repig says that Dems "better be careful about criticizing bush" or any other such nonsense, I know we're on the right track.

Listen to Smell Miller? Fuck that! Smell is a fucking whore and should have been thrown out of the party long ago. He's not even close to intelligent, his right-wing pandering is pathetic and he has NOTHING to offer Dems of ANY stripe.

We're a big party, but we're not big enough for shitheads like Miller.

Good riddance!

24. What bothers me about Lieberman is his religious...
...sermonizing - even though he's pretty good on church/state issues. And what really bugs me is his crusade against pop culture: movies, tv, vid games, etc... Otherwise he's a fine senator and would make a good pres. I think he would make good appts to the supreme court.

26. Look at what Zell Miller has in the Washington Times and then...
Edited on Wed Nov-05-03 01:15 PM by CBHagman
...get back to me with your opinion. I mean this:

www.washingtontimes.com/national/20031105-122734-7167r.htm

Yes, from the Moonie Times. I know a lot of it is general, but look at the gratuitous shots he takes (and the weird pronouncements he makes, as when he claims "nothing" was done after the terrorist attacks in the 1990s).

I guess ol' Zell knows the money is better and a lot more free-flowing with the GOP. Where do we send his 30 pieces of silver?

On edit: And when you click on the link, look at the rogues' gallery of felons, toadoes and fascists (i.e., Liddy et al) that appears!
