1. Bush* is a sorry loser.
And we just have to keep showing people the results of his actions (or inactions in most cases).

4. Looks like both Reagan and Clinton were up around 60%
when they were re-elected. Of course, they both won in landslides. As long as Bush is below 50% we've got a great chance of winning.

10. There is little hope of winning.
There will be another major terrorist attack, and there are enough black boxes that nothing will be left to chance.

11. I wish...
Bush could be polling 30% on the eve of this election and still win by a Landslide.

The only way we can possibly prevent that is to get rid of the electronic voting machines.

If necessary, by physically disabling them! But I hope we can do this legally.

14. wow
its amazing how closely Reagan and Clinton mirror each other... but even during monicagate clinton sustains a higher number. Is the Reagan drop Iran/Contra? looks about the right time.

5. How it's even THAT high...
...never ceases to amaze me.

Of course, when you look at the overall election turnout and the level of media discourse these days, the average joe public out there is probably even less knowledgeable of current events than someone out on the frontier during the late 1800's.

7. No kidding...it IS amazing!
One wonders where the magenta squares would be had there been no 9/11. Most likely they would have had to deepen the chart just to accomodate his lower than low numbers.

8. first magenta spike = September 11th
second spike = war in Iraq (rally round the 'president' in times of war effect)

Third mini-spike? Is it from his phony press conference? His 'world tour'?

As long as the spikes keep getting smaller, and the current pattern continues, we are in good shape.
