How many soldiers have died in Iraq Freedom so far?
And how many since "Mission Accomplished?"

I can't find it, if it were a Democrat in the WH it would be the lead story on the news every night, "Day 253 in Iraq, 395 Americans Dead."

4. That they are real people

I have no doubt. but the "something that they believed in" part I'm not so convinced on. Nor do I belive that the administration really belives it either.

5. Excuse me, but those real people are returned home in secret
because their deaths are bad for public relations. The death of those real people is now treated as shameful by the administration that sent them to die on a lie. Those real people deserve to have their numbers announced every day so that their loss becomes real to the country that doesn’t give a shit about their sacrifice. Get a grip, it dehumanizes them to return them in dishonor and hide their numbers, now who treats them as political fodder?

Find an account in today’s paper of the total deaths in this action. The reason the magnitude of what is going on isn’t covered is the same reason that we don’t medically treat the wounded when they return; it doesn’t help the war effort.

The administration does not consider these soldiers as real people; they are treated as less than human. Do you think that they would tolerate the way these soldiers were treated if they were rich young republicans?

6. Do you read the papers?
You must not because if you did you would know that every bit of information about the war that is released is propaganda or political fodder as you put it. I’m suggesting that there be some unbiased coverage.

P.S Bush returns their remains in secret, how is that for political maipulation of the deaths of real people, they don't even matter enough to them to honor the fallen upon their return.

7. I read a newspaper every day . . . and you can never find the totals.
They sometimes mention how many people died THAT DAY, but you never get the cumulative total. I have to go to <http://www.antiwar.com/ewens/casualties.html> to find out how many have been killed.

The other thing is that the DOD has been meticulous about people killed in combat and death by other causes, like when a guy gets shot at and runs his hummer into a wall. That's a non-combat death, according to the geniuses that run our country.

Also, what about all the "civilians" that are doing jobs normally done by the military before Halliburton figured out they could make billions by taking those jobs. They aren't counted either, even though they are basically military in function.
