That's been the traditional view of women in past civilizations. No damn voice.
This reflects on how women are regarded only by their status as child bearers and child rearers as seen by religious leaders. No regard if the woman's life is in danger, she is secondary. Women's rights are human rights too.
My history professor mentioned this photo today and compared it to the religious wars in France during the 16th century...religion has inserted itself into the political spectrum once again after centuries of secular humanism. His mention of it made me want to take every class he teaches.

I don't know if any of them ever had a love child aborted but I would bet there are one or two maybe more.

That's what I heard, it happened in Houston, and the girl was 15 years old. That's statutory rape (that got her pregnant), as far as I know.

For the election next year, whenever the Repubs pull out the abortion issue as they always do, it might be appropriate to show all the women in the picture? America understands that a picture is worth a thousand words...
