AAARRRGHGH Have you seen this Walmart ad?
It's for Veteran's Day. They start off with an elderly man talking about joing the service when he was 17 who says "I was scared to death, but we were fighting for our freedom..."

Then they show Walmart "associates" who are vets and list what war they fought in. There's one guy and under his name it says "War on Terrorism"

I just can't stand it.

5. Why not start a DU boycott of Walmart?
It would help get the media here and hurt the man keeping us down.

10. I already refuse to shop there
I caused all sorts of havoc with a couple friends. We were planning a surprise birthday party for another friend. The two I was planning with decided we'd get the food at Sam's Club. I told them this would not happen if they expected me to kick any money in. I'd rather pay more and shop at a union store. I told them why to no avail. In the end, I took part of the grocery list and went to the store of my choice.

8. Well that cap's gonna blow up in their faces!
What is the real message there?

Serve your country, and you end up with a shit job in some shithole where they keep your wages low because you're competing with undocumented workers who can be exploited to work for minimum wage, 7 days a week with NO time off.

Even the pickuptruckdrivinistflagwavinistBushvoter is gonna catch on that these vets are being exploited.

Huge PR mistake.

19. At a Walmart near me, inside near the bathrooms where you can't miss them
Edited on Thu Nov-06-03 11:13 PM by w4rma
is a huge stand full of Bush photo books with Bush's aircraft carrier landing and other jingoistic pictures of him all throughout the magazines.

I think the title of this magazine was: How George W. Bush Changed the World.

I wanted to go into a bathroom and :puke: when I first saw the stand of Bush propagannda.
