What is our point? Do "We" (US) know what we're fighting for? Really?

Seriously, mods, is this OK?

Dumb question, I'm positive, flames of "I'm involved damnit! You're an "Dillhole"!" are expected.

Now my query. It involves the meat and potatoes (Props to the dumb"Headed" people) of the "WHY"?

Sure I'm working hard to play tennis (with any luck next Saturday....I really just wanted to have some beers with him, yet he's apparently a tea-drinker only, no alcohol...) with the nice guy from Bangledesh that I know, from the corner "Circle K", but, other than that Black "girl" in HR, I really don't have any "Minority" friends, I only recently realized how "White" my world was...

I have a philosophy that demands Equality, that demands Egalitarianism, that wants Social Harmony, yet (Like every activist event that I attend...) I really don't have many non-WASPS (Or other econo-ethnic acquantences) in my circle of friends!

Which made me think that we might be a bunch of (understandably) guilty Liberals wondering what the fuck went wrong with Society and why they're all so discombobulated?...

I guess that I'm trying to point out what should be obvious...I'm living in the perfect Republican World! I've got a good job, I've got a pension, I've got Healthcare when I need it, I've got a nice place to live, I've got...ME ME ME!

I harp constantly about Fair Trade, Women's Rights, Marriage (As in same-sex marriage) Freedom, National Healthcare (I've got bunches of it! Who want's some?!)Worker's Rights/Unions, Living Wages, Progressive Taxation (Or a Maximum Income...Why not? We've already got a Minimum Wage (Income), No?) yet the fact is that I live in WhiteManSuburbiana!

Am I an anomoly?

Why should I care, I'm OK, no?

Yes I'm drunk (Barely...The first try was an hour and a half ago...) now...Figuratively as well as the easy to do "Literally".

Is this a GD thread? I would say so...Why? Because I'm sitting here wondering what the fuck "our" candidates are going to propose in a Macro sense outside of my happy existance? What will they do to make someone else's live better? Why? I'm SET! "BITE" me!

What about everyone else?????

Who has a Macro Policy that takes in to account that some people get FUCKED in our "Happy Clappy" country????

Well?

PS~ I only post this because every activist meeting that I've attended is mostly white...Not that this is an inherantly a "bad" thing but..

WHAT'S UP?

BIG EDIT: Apparently "Hell" in the subject line is "too" scary here now....Now it's "Heck"...

Oh sweet mother of Odin....
