Has the story about the "outing" of Wilson's wife died? |

Is there going to be no follow up, investigation?

5. Well...look at all the people working AGAINST the intel community |
|
right here at DU. These guys have decided to line up behind Kerry so he can make their case for them during the election and so many here are working to keep Kerry's voice unheard in 2004. The media is bad enough, but now there are Dems working hand in hand with the BFEE owned media.

I've been a serious BFEE watcher for almost 15 years. The intel community breaking with Bush is BIG to me and others who understand its import. This is no game or horserace for us.

And if you've been watching the BFEE for 15 years, thank you for your effort and determination.
I hope Joe Wilson et all will not stop their work if Kerry does not win the nomination.
Is the CIA an organization that assassinates democracies and destroys with crack/heroin...or is it a company of patriots?
We will see. It isn't a game to me either, brother.

and need him to make their case. They know what Kerry knows already and can add to that case. The links between BCCI, IranContra and 9-11 and Iraq CAN be made by the right spokesman. A Dem nominee with a thorough understanding of the entire picture.

2. I think it is on haitus... rather than dead. |
|
It has gone into hibernation before... only to be pushed back to the forefront. Supposedly the documents are now from the Wh to the DOJ... before long Ashcroft will probably declare "move on, nothing to see here..." Except that I would bet that there will be a few more leaks around that time (there are some big time disgruntled folks in the professional intel world)... and sensing yet another potential feeding frenzy that could boost some ratings - look for another round of the Wilson story. Those who have been digging in the interrim will push their wares at that time as well. Then it will probably go on another haitus.... and so on and so on...

7. The "intelligence committee memo" was used to supplant it... |
|
It occured to me this morning as I listened to the news on NPR that the Bushistas have pumped up this "memo-gate" pseudo scandal to get the heat off them for committing the crime of outing a CIA agent. They committed a crime, now they're using the cover of something that might have happened in the future. Good one, eh?

Seriously it is still alive on the senate floor.
It kind of like rock hunting, if you keep going, you'll always find another to take the place of the prettiest rock you found. So the republicans will leak, spin, leak, spin, leak, spin until ya don't know which end is up!! Rove is good. Wish the Dems had him.

believe - I'm not exactly sure what a political plan (memo) has to do with the Wilson incident but they've made the memo sound soooo serious. Gosh - the Wilson incident is extremely serious - I wouldn't want to be Wilson, his wife or children now. This is a disgrace and the Democrats should speak out much stronger than they are.

We have passed the point (unless the Busheviks are stopped) where the Imperial Subjects of Amerika can learn anything "secret" that their leaders have done.,
That privilege belongs to Free Nations, and while our lives at the "little people" level are still good and mostly free-feeling, Amerika no longer technically is a Free Nation.
Though I pray that it will be one day again...

22. I like to think of the Wilson-Plame story as the opening move toward... |
|
...removing Junior from the office in which he is illegally squatting. Since that time, all kinds of information has hit the fan to include:
1) interviews of U. S. troops in Iraq that feel betrayed by the Bushies;
2) several stories about the strong financial connections of Prescott Bush and Herbert Walker to the Nazis before and during the early years of WWII;
3) stories about hundreds of sick and wounded troops at Ft. Stewart and other military facilities that are not being treated by medical personnel;
4) several rulings by conservative Federal judges that have slapped down the stated desires of Ashcroft;
5) the failure of the Bushies to either muzzle or or have CIA Director Tenet removed from his job;
6) the inability of the Bushies to muzzle the real U. S. economic news despite recent attempts to show how well GDP is growing;
7) the recent willingness of the mainstream press to report anything that makes Junior look bad;
....I could go on but I'm tired.

23. Lawrence o'Donnell predicted this story would last 30 days. |
|
He was pretty close.
Wilson himself did more danage to his own credibility then anything the republicans did. EVERYTHING he did played into thte model of a democrat/egotist trying to attack the republicans, so nobody was terribly outraged when the republicans struck back.
Kerry advisor and contributor, hostile editorailist for the New York Times, conferences with Hill democratic, musings over who would play him in the movie, and best of all, telling the press his vision of the obit as " the man who did the most harm to George Bush."
He did well to hold the spotlight as long as he did

The best chance is during the general election. Wilson's candidate and the candidate of the intel community who want Bush out is John Kerry.

26. Amazingly another HUGE |
|
scandal has been swept under the rug. Unfortunately, we can't simply blame the corporate media for this. When was the last time a Democrat even brought this up? All they would have to do is link all the secrecy to allow the public to form a logical conclusion. The stonewalling of the 9/11 committe, the refusal to turn over the energy papers, the treasonous leakage of names of those undercover, etc. What are they hiding?

28. Nope. Watch for it to emerge again when Ashcroft ... |
|
... informs everyone that his Justice Department couldn't catch the two perps in the White House. At that time, I would expect to see a call for Bush to investigate. He'll refuse saying it is old news. Then the Dem candidate will beat Bush up over it throughout 2004.
There have been no new developments because the ball is in the JD court. That's all. No one has forgotten who has the ball.
