More watch the Daily Show than Fox
Here's a great article on The Daily Show, with an intersting bit of info from The Nation. Puts things in a little different perspective, when one thinks that it is all hopeless.

Daily Show Does Bush

EXCERPT:

<snip>

Its core audience (73 percent) is the coveted 18-to-49 demographic. And here's some cheering news: More people (4 million) tune in to The Daily Show in a given week than watched Fox news at the height of the war (3.3 million).

1. I heard those numbers before. It's helps keep me sane these days.
For whatever it's worth, more young people get their news from The Daily Show than from actual news shows. I'm one of them - you'll get a straighter story from Jon Stewart than you will from months of NBCABCCBS. Truth is indeed stranger than fiction.

2. Yes, I posted the info a couple of days ago...
from a blog, with a complete quotation from TV Guide..."Robin's ??" whatever the little column is called.

Stewart is geting well over 600,000 18-49 viewers, while Fox is about 100,000 below that. CNN has about 200,000 in that age bracket, from what I recall from the article.

3. Curious, Fox News is on 24 hours a day.
I wonder how many people watch Fox News in a 24 hour cycle vs. watch the Daily Show in a 1 hour cycle? In other words, how many people per day are exposed to Fox News vs. how many people in a day are exposed to the Daily Show? Does anybody know? It does make a difference.

5. yesterday I was in the Wachovia Security offices in Canoga Park CA, and
on the main floor was a huge TV with Fox News on all the freaking time.

Weird.

These people work all day long bombarbed by Fox News.

4. TDS is more objected, more informative, more accurate
and has far better investigative journalism.
