Dean/Clinton? Clark/Clinton? |
|
Hillary polls significantly ahead of all the other dem candidates in a match-up with Bush. While she made a promise not to seek the presidency in 2004, she hasn't ruled out (that I know of) the VP slot. Would she settle for a shot at the big prize in 2012 instead of 2008? Would she help the ticket in 2004? What do you think?

Let Mrs. Clinton wait. She's been in the Senate a scant two years. I think it'd be a mistake for her to get involved right now. People who plan to vote Democratic to get Bush out might change their minds if she were a heartbeat away.
Dean/Clark or Clark/Dean -- IMO both of those would be ideal tickets.

I think we need Hillary in the senate. We've lost two senators to this campaign already. We can't afford to lose more.

She has said repeatedly and unequivocally that she intends to complete her term as a senator from NY.

Oh, you're talking about Hillary...;)
I think it would be beyond great to have a *Anyone*/Clinton ticket, if for no other reason than to watch the right collectively shit themselves.

8. She adds no votes votes we don't have |

and will cost some that we need.
Bad idea. She's too polarizing a figure.

Hilary Clinton should not run for president in 04. She should buy a house in Canada, pretend to live there, and run for Prime Minister.

New York needs her.
2008 or 2012, I'd love to see her run for the highest office. And I want to see her win.

We can do a lot better, how about Clark/Lee? Now that would be something.

you know what? THAT could be what Clark and the Clinton's have on the burner. That would leave Hillary to be the first FEMALE prez in 2012. I think it would be a winning ticket. It also answers the question of how she can run in 2008 or 2012. If we had a Clark/Dean ticket she wouldn't run in 2008 or 2012. If we had a Dean/Clark ticket...same. Her being VP would answer THAT little question, wouldn't it? Whew! Something else to think about! :)

13. Why do so many Dems toss aside that Hillary |
|
could win? I lived in NYC when she ran for Senate and volunteered on her campaign. The day before the election the papers all said it would be close, a nail biter, that HIllary had to win HUGE in the city and in the Jewish community to have any chance.
She won in a near landslide. Fewer people voted for her opponent than the number in the polls who listed her as a negative and someone they would never vote for. (How is that for polls?) She won every region. She had huge turnout in the city and took upstate.
Yes it is NY. The point is she did better than anyone said she would, even the day before the election.
Hillary 2008 or 2012!

higher than ANY UNNAMED Dem, I think, just maybe, she can win. Wasn't it just last week she polled higher than ANY of the current candidates? I don't know? Doesn't look like a loser To me.
