GOP freeze on the Iraq probe is a goldmine to Democrats |
|
Edited on Sat Nov-08-03 06:56 PM by demdem
Now we can officially start shouting coverup. We have 9 candidates who can repeat it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and overand over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Thank you GOP. Maybe the Dems can make a tradeoff with the WH, we will give all of our info and memos if they give us theres on the Iraq war.

1. Not To Mention The GOP Refusal To Work With Dems |
|
And just about everything else that's happened in the past few days. Push the "uniter" on his past record of stonewalling, media blackouts, free speech zones, tax breaks, no bid contracts.....

You never know how the media will spin this. It's not over by a long shot.

3. Stonewalling! The Dem Memo Was Right On! |
|
The Dems can say "see, we were RIGHT in that memo. Here they are, stonewalling and covering up as predicted"
Not to mention, the more noise the Repubs make about this, the more PR the whole NO WMD'S mantra gets...
I LOVE IT WHEN MORONS SHOOT THEMSELVES IN THE FOOT!

Why the HELL would the memo affect anything? If the Dems were really evil and bent on political gain (both parties are involved in political maneuvering, clearly) then freezing the probe wouldn't really solve anything.

The Democrats are extremely offensive to me personally precisely because they refuse to go on the offensive>.By that I do not mean the mean spirited rantings of a certain conservative in liberal clothing who sees an opportunity to become the nominee and repeat the McGovern debacle. The party as a whole must step up to the plate, something that we will not see as long as the From's and McAuliffes think that doing so will alienate their hoped for corporate donors.....Unless and until that miraculous event occurs we will see only a small isolated protest from the likes of Senator Byrd and one or two others....pity.

7. You're kidding yourself |

The opposition has been handed a goldmine but they don't have the balls to run with it.
Don't expect anything more to come out of this than came out of the energy policy, the Plame/Wilson leak, '17 words' or the tax cut fraud.

You're right. The Dems won't do shit about any of this, or may indeed start applauding the repukes' actions as they sometimes do.
Why do we support them again?

get a journalist on TV who will actually utter the words "coverup". I don't think that will ever happen. :(
