Having a clean election
What do we intend to do to keep our voters from being harrassed and intimidated next November? The GOP admitted before last week's elections that they were planning to threaten voters in Dem precincts in KY and in MS, and they then followed through on those threats, and got away with it. This leads me to believe that there will be more such criminality next fall. What can we do about it?

1. Frankly
I am not going to take any Bull Shit next year. I am will be the loudest screaming liberal in my neighborhood and shut down every right winger there is. They are not going to intimidate me with their ideas.

As for the legal tactics? I think the ACLU, although they are non-partisan, will notice when there is irregularities in different voting systems.

We just have to keep pushing the news to the people. In fact, we probably have to go around the corporate media and go to the people themselves.

2. Citizens of a nation can't invite UN Monitors, can they?
Of course, even with the entire world directly watching, I really doubt that it would faze the B*shies any. They have a congenital lack of shame.

There needs to be a large-scale international non-profit election-monitoring team...something like Amnesty or Transparency International but with enough people to actually go around and OBSERVE the electoral process on a large enough scale to draw direct conclusions (instead of, as Transparency International does, circulate a survey asking how corrupt you percieve your government to be). I think it's safe to say that most Americans don't know how utterly corrupt and dying their democratic rights are, but maybe with a report like that enough of them would wake up and smell the bullshit long enough to make a difference.

4. If the Dem party does not Lead on this issue, we are screwed.
Likewise if Dems don't use the exact same tactics in Rep. districts

we are also finished.
