Actions last 20-25 years... how many military deaths? |
|
I tried thinking back to our previous police actions before Iraq II, and I realized something: in any other action or "war" since Vietnam, have so many soldiers died? Hell, how many of our troops have died in combat total between Vietnam and Gulf War II? Is it anywhere near the hundreds who've been killed in Iraq?
We've been seeing the deaths creep up and up without realizing they're already Vietnam proportions, with the rate growing. Soldiers are dying every single day and I can't recall a time before Vietnam when that happened.
Tell me I'm wrong? :-(
