8. McCain is stealing Gore's audience
He's insisting on more questions, even when prompted to leave.

He knows that nobody would tune in to hear his lame ass, so he's cutting into Gore's time, when there's an audience.

9. C-SPAN will be showing it
C-SPAN is running a blurb on the bottom of the screen that they will cut to the speech when it starts.

14. Zack Exley (moveon)...
...talking about how the internet has been used. Talking about queries on the database to see what people have been participating in, calls to congressman, donations to moveon ad campaigns, pushing public debate, organized real events using internet tools, candlelight vigils, thank you, thank you in person, thank you in advance. Something tells me, I have a feeling, 2004 is gonna be a very good year. Excited to be co-sponsor with American Constitution Society, progressive approach to the law, countering right-wing assault on the law and Constitution. Standing up to it. Co-Sponsor, pleased to be working with them. Lisa Brown, advisor to Gore, member of ACS.

Lisa Brown (american constitution society)...
Applaud moveon for work they do connecting americans to their democratic process. Recognize an amazing woman for engaging women in our civic process, reminding us all politics is personal. Please welcome Tipper Gore. Finally, let me thank all of you. Great to see energized people gather to hear one of our greatest leaders talk about how to protect our nation and preserve our principles.

18. So far great speech as usual. . .
Starting with the intro where he was called "President . . . excuse me Vice-President Al Gore." and continuing on to his shredding Shrubco for invading Iraq do shift attention from bin Laden.

world this would have been had the better man been allowed to take office as he was voted for. He is light years ahead of the short bus president. great speech so far.

been listening to someone else. I did not feel condesended to. I felt like he was sharing information and trying to rally the masses.

22. No, I'm sure I was watching the one and only.
I said his "tone" was condenscending. I can't stand it. He sounds like a professor trying to lecture the dumbshits. I don't disagree all that much with what he said, just the way he says it.

25. Please remember, Gore is the leader of this party and was elected once
as President. When Howard Dean does that come back and tell me!

Perhaps you are one of those people Ari the liar was talking about... you know, the ones who don't want their Pres to be the smartest guy in the room.

23. Gore's speech
Wow! That speech went all the way. It was in direct contrast to Shrub's monitor driven dribble. He obviously was not reading off a monitor. It was empassioned and no holds barred. He minced no words in calling the Bushies to account for the attack on civil liberties. If you haven't seen it, do.
