That is not true, but I came across an article on CNN about the Janklow dude from South Dakota. He was the Congressman that was driving drunk and killed a pedestrian while driving.

Anyhow, look at this.

He was all over the news, hounded every day, run out of office, and he hadn't even done anything.

This guy kills somebody and has a traffic record so long that he wouldn't even have a license in most states, and he's barely a blip on the media radar.
