DNC cowards ignore Gore speech: Act Now!
Edited on Tue Nov-11-03 02:21 AM by politmuse1
On Sunday Al Gore spoke not as a Democrat, but as the leader of something that has virtually disappeared from the leadership of this country: a true opposition. His clarity of vision is unmatched.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party (of which I had considered myself a proud member until the last couple of years) is too afraid to even acknowledge Gore's inspired and inspiring address about issues that should define debate in this country. Not the slightest reference to this adderss on the DNC website!! That's for a major speech of the man who won in 2000 -- our real president.

I suppose what Gore dared say on Sunday was a little too much truth for the DNC to handle.

Please contact the DNC today and tell them Al Gore deserves more respect than that. If you support him for president, tell them that.

DNC # 202-863-8000

10. Are we even
sure that they are really on the same side. President Gore should continue to give them hell and maybe someday tell us why he really didn't run again.

Dear DNC,

Are you high? Are you just not with it? Being payed off by the RNC? Not ballsy enough? If we had more REAL leadership from the DNC, like Gore is doing by speaking his mind, not only would we dem's not have gotten our asses kicked in the 2002 mid-terms, but we would have a lead on Bush right now that no amount of BBV fixing could save his re-selection. Stop screwin' around, and take Bush and the repukes ON!

11. Done and here's a copy
Al Gore has shown wonderful leadership and he deserves a bigger role in the DNC. His latest speech was abosolutely wonderful and should be a reminder of how we as democrats should take stands and not allow the Republicans to walk over us. I fear that the DNC is not paying attention to a great leader and a great voice. He is a rallying entity and I for one expect the DNC to acknowledge this and embrace Gore. He was after all in the 2000 election, the elected President of the United States not the appointed President and he should have been in the race for 2004.
Thank you

13. They were very lukewarm towards him
and the way they acted after the "selection" was scandalous.. They just stood there with their thumbs up their noses.. Their timid behaviour was the green light that rabid righwing loonies needed to start their feeding frenzy.. All the Dems could talk about was "when he would give up"..

18. Correct on need for replacement !
Edited on Tue Nov-11-03 11:02 AM by NicRic
However ,frist things frist. I say replace bush with Gore would be alot more fun ,and in the big picture , much better for our country !
Some have said that Gore let everyone down by not running in 2004 ! However if anything has proven why you cant blame Gore for not running ,its the contined lack of respect he gets from other elected Dems , the DNC and the media. Maybe he's just not stupid enough to be a victum again ! Its to bad ,because perhaps the people of this party would have surprised everyone and stood up to the nay sayers ! If one thing has been proven ,its that Al Gore is his own man , and saying what others should be saying , some are ,many more are not ! Big thumbs up to our true President in exile President Al Gore ! If he was allowed to take office our country would be so much better off today. Our country really missed out ,Gore would have continued many of the Clinton policies ,plus some added ones of his own .Instead look what we have, Iam totally disgusted with the direction of my country and dissapointed with the American public thats to blind to see what a fraud we now have running this country !

20. Gore is the past
The DNC wants to focus on the present, the candidates who are running for President. Al Gore has chosen not to run.

21. I wrote to them
and resisted mightily the temptation to tell them what I think of them.

Hey, I was wondering if you guys happen to catch President Al Gore's speech on Sunday. It was a very powerful speech in which he eloquently made many excellent points.

You may want look into it and, if you like it too, maybe mention it or link to it from your site.

22. yes, but be nice
I made an entry to the blog at that site, and emailed them.

But it would be counterproductive to flame them or disrupt their blog without knowing why they're downplaying the speech. It would turn the positives from Gore's speech into a negative.
