Associated Press
AUSTIN -- Gov. Rick Perry's office has filed a lawsuit seeking to keep secret the financial incentives offered to Boeing Co. to build a plant in Texas.

The lawsuit filed last week was in response to a request from Alfred Ehm, a member of the Texas Central Rail-Corridor Coalition of San Antonio, for details of the possible tax breaks that were being offered to the airplane maker.

"I'm trying to make a point that the government cannot receive and spend taxpayer money and claim they're not a public agency," Ehm told the Austin American-Statesman.

1. These guys couldn't spell "government transparency" if I wrote it down
for them. At least in WA the PEOPLE know what corporate welfare we are willing to provide Boeing.

3. Whenver I read a story like this
that seems so far around teh bend, I always wonder what the justification is. I mean I totally understand why the governor would wnat to keep his bribery of a private company with taxpayer money a secret, but he can't really say that--so what justification does he use?
