Democrat, GOP officials mulling cruise ship deal
Has anyone heard about this?? I apologize if this is a redundant posting. But the part about the press "walking the plank" by DeLay is too good to pass up. In his world, that's exactly what would happen.

1. This would be a horrible idea for the Democrats for many reasons
Not the least of which is that Tom DeLay is the one pushing the idea.

And for some reason, I'm thinking that staying on the cruise ship to party in private might not convey the populist message the Democrats need to convey right now.

Finally, I don't think George Bush should have the opportunity to have that many nationally-known Democrats in one place at the same time. Do you trust him? I certainly don't.

3. More importantly
What about the tax revenue and the extra man hours for its workers that each city expects. If I was a hotel or restaurant worker in New York or Boston I would be very pissed off right now.

4. Captain, why are none of the Republicans ordering the fish?
Why on earth is congress wasting our money even discussing this?
