3. My gut says Clark
But it might be better to throw everything behind Dean, if that happens.
I'm nervous about Dean lately. It seems like he doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut, and that will hurt him later on.
Clark is a rookie, and I don't know if he'll have a good chance at winning because of that.
It's still early, I believe Kerry's campaign will recover..

5. I'm looking for evidence, not feelings. I was hoping...
...that people would know something about Kennedy's relationships with the other candidates.

10. He's Edwards 'mentor'
I read somewhere that Edwards really looks to Kennedy on the issues. But I don't know that Kennedy would want to quickly endorse another candidate who isn't doing so well.

The candidate, besides Kerry, who is currently most like Kennedy would probably be Gephardt.

Tough to say what he'd do. Maybe just stay out of it and work for whoever wins.

15. They worked together on the patients bill of rights. I believe Kennedy was
on record as saying that it wouldn't have been as good as it was without Edwards's input.

He talked about it last fall, so I was surprised when he endorsed Kerry. I thought he was telegraphing his approval of Edwards.

In retrospect, he was probably just spreading the love, trying to help Edwards round out his identity. I wonder if the enthusiasm is enough for an endorsement.

I vaguely remember reading something about an interaction with Gephardt in the 90s. I can't remember if it was positive or negative, or if it was a case of both of them taking credit for the same thing, or what. I wish I could remember.

Ooops, wrong race!

Tough question, and I don't know the answer. I think Teddy will wait until we have a nominee.

6. AP, I'm Not Going To Vote In This One
It's just a wee bit premature to prognosticate on Kerry's demise as Presidential Candidate. :)

He's got a couple of weeks to get his act together.

8. You're absolutely right.

I think Kerry could still pull it out and move on. I just wanted to remind people that Kennedy's endorsement would be up for grabs if Kerry dropped out and I was trying to prod people for information (facts not feelings) about Kennedy's attitudes towards the other candidates.

Since I'm not getting any facts (only feelings, without substantiation) the whole thing is useless.

However, if anyone wants to discuss Kennedy's relationship with the other nominees, please go ahead.

14. Ted Kennedy And Robert Kennedy Jr.!!!
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has made a career out of championing environmental causes, told a Seattle audience yesterday that U.S. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., should be the environmental movement's candidate of choice for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Calling Kerry "as much of an environmental champion as Al Gore," Kennedy boasted to a crowd of about 50 that Kerry holds a 96 percent approval rating with the League of Conservation Voters, has long pushed for "the Holy Grail" of automobile fuel-efficiency standards, and had a history of activism dating to Kerry's role as a Massachusetts organizer for the first Earth Day in 1970.

But Kennedy, a Natural Resources Defense Council attorney, vice president for Riverkeeper and president of the Waterkeeper Alliance, reserved the bulk of his 45-minute speech for a wide-ranging critique of President George W. Bush. Bush, he said, has pushed to roll back 200 environmental regulations and has the worst environmental record of any president "in American history."

I think it would be TK's 'signal' to the party to unite.
