Analysis of Shrub's Speech Today
Let us take an excerpt:

"we....will.....finish.....what......we......have.......started......
Period."

Note how he pauses a second or two between each word to make sure the audience does not miscontrue the meaning, and what a brilliant move - using the word "period" to let the audience know he really, really means it. He is truly a master orator, a wonder to behold.
Every time I hear this great man speak, I'm so thankful a leader of his magnitude is in charge of our country in these difficult times, keeping us safe and secure from evil-doers. :puke:

1. When's he gonna start talking about the "light at the end of the tunnel"?
This man is walking sitcom and war movie of a president.

He has no fucking clue about what to do. Thinks if he talks "big" like John Wayne, the movie will end happily ever after.

This sonofabitch has got to go back to Crawford. The world cannot afford another four years of a sock puppet in the WH

3. junior couldn't even give a good speech
if he was elected as a small town dog catcher. (no offense intended towards small town dog catchers, naturally.) compare the boy king's pitiful, halting, unimaginative meandings with this:

Sunday, former Vice President Al Gore spoke to a packed audience of almost 3,000 MoveOn supporters about the Bush administration's attacks on our basic freedoms. Not mincing words, Mr. Gore said,

"I want to challenge the Bush Administration’s implicit assumption that we have to give up many of our traditional freedoms in order to be safe from terrorists.

Because it is simply not true.

In fact, in my opinion, it makes no more sense to launch an assault on our civil liberties as the best way to get at terrorists than it did to launch an invasion of Iraq as the best way to get at Osama Bin Laden.

In both cases, the Administration has attacked the wrong target.

In both cases they have recklessly put our country in grave and unnecessary danger, while avoiding and neglecting obvious and much more important challenges that would actually help to protect the country.

In both cases, the administration has fostered false impressions and misled the nation with superficial, emotional and manipulative presentations that are not worthy of American Democracy.

In both cases they have exploited public fears for partisan political gain and postured themselves as bold defenders of our country while actually weakening not strengthening America."

4. ..except for his schlurs
slurs, that is. He has an incredibly annoying lisp. Also, his voice betrays an unmistakable immaturity + arrogance. There is nothing this man has to say that I would pay attention to.

Other than "I quit".

5. He pauses to repeat what someone is saying in his ear piece
Someone is in another area telling Jr what to say and he pauses because he is repeating it word for word and they only give him one word at a time because he can't handle a whole sentence.

8. I haven't seen an earpiece, but he sure sounds like it.
He stands there with "um... uh..." until the voices in his head tell him what to say.

Maybe it isn't an earpiece, maybe he really does hear voices. Maybe it's God telling him what to say. (sarcasm)

6. Howard Fineman...
...said this was a war speech. Not a victory speech, but a war speech. We're back in the hot war.
