Poll question: If you knew that Bu$h stole the 2004 election, like he did in Florida...
what would you do?

Are you just going to sit on the couch? Or....

1. My husband travels on business and I have kids.
I have no one to take care of my little ones (one is special needs)if I'm in jail. If it weren't for the kids, I'd have to consider CD until they tossed my ahs in the slammer.

2. If Bush wins by corrupt activities.
I have no doubt in my mind that there would be riots in the streets.

I wouldn't be engaging in the riots though. Just civil disobedience.

3. That is what I thought in 2000.
Gee, where did everybody go??

If this happens again, I suppose we COULD have Daschle *squeak* at the repubs. Maybe once.

8. That is EXACTLY what I thought would happen
But last time we were all caught off guard.

It's easy to talk big today, but will we have the guts to do what's right on Nov 5th if the election is stolen?
Speaking for myself: I don't know. I don't know if I have the same courage as the civil rights activists or union-workers.

19. Civil rights activist and union workers are a good start...
However if it is evident that another theft has occured it will actually take the resolve,
commitment and force applied in 1776 to remove the *criminal and his crew.

Protests and letter to the editor will certainly not suffice.

4. After this war and all the loss, the destruction of our country,
the economy, our long held ideas of democracy, I would predict (and this is not to be construed as advocacy) violent protests or maybe worse to occur, should Bush blatently steal the 04 election.

6. Prepare For Civil War
As bad as Dimbo is now, it will get far worse given that the self-imposed restraint to date has been the fear of not getting re-elected.

12. It is very possible considering the Help America Vote Act which will put
computerized Voting in all 50 states. Of course at least some of the companies behind the software have strong right wing ties. And you all know I assume that 90,000 voters (disproportionately black) in Florida had their votes removed because the software "mistakenly" thought they were criminals.

The way we will know is if many of the exit polls end up predicting a different result than the final vote tally.

You can sign a petition here to try to stop the Help America Vote act.

13. GW will win unless Congress amend the Help America Vote Act
Electronic voting machines are owned by Republicans, allowed to have completely secret programs on them, and give their manufacturers the ability to fix elections in as many as 40 states!

Unless Congress acts fast to amend HAVA, we can forget electing a Democrat no matter how we vote.

Please see my web site www.UStogether.org and select "Elections and voting" for lots of info and links.

14. This is a very good question. It really deserves more attention.
First of all, it's difficult to answer honestly. In an anonymous poll on the Internet, where you don't even have to use your screen name which is anonymous ANYHOW, it's certainly easy enough to say "Yeah, I'd commit CD until the feds locked me up." But would you really?

And if so, what's to stop you from doing it now? Putting the condition on it that Bush has to steal yet another election -- why is that necessary? Aren't ONE stolen election, TWO illegal unnecessary wars based on lies, and state propaganda on TV 24/7 enough?

There should be a lot more earnest discussion of this topic, here, IMO.

but I think that most people would just take it lying down like they did in 2000.

...I'd stop paying federal taxes altogether, and make as much noise about it as possible (burning tax forms in public, maybe?)
