Prescription Drugs and our deafening silence.....
An issue we should be riding this donkey on through the 2K4 elections. Republicans defend the drug companies. Charging Americans twice as much as other countries for medication is anti capitalist, anti American and anti consumer. Why are we not shouting down these drug lords? Why is it a $100 prescription costs $50 in Canada and $10 in Mexico? Countless times in the pharmacy, I see seniors complaining on the cost of medicine, just today an old man shelled out a $100 for one month's supply of his medication. Some people are paying more for drugs than their house/ rent payments. Folks, this is not fair, and Democrats should be against acts similar to removing CanaRx Services in supplying cheaper drugs to US citizens. The Drug companies believe drug costs should be priced in relation to the wealth of the population. Nonsense, if so, then poor areas in the US deserve a break on medication, food, education, the list goes on. Health care is definitely an industry in need of massive reform.

1. Don't worry the older generation is sitting and watching
to see what comes from Congress now. If that bill doesn't make it through. In SOME form, they will vote with their pocketbooks in November... and they will remember about the Canadian drug policy.

My parents spend $100's of dollars every month. I almost had them talked into going to the Canadian supplier. But, you know they didn't want to break the law...

5. You should see my parents
My dad is 78 and has 3 jobs. He used to be a long distance truck driver. He now earns Min. wage, driving for Avis, National, and Enterprise car rental, driving the cars back. And the Very SAD thing about that, he is not there oldest employee.

4. As a Canadian, I find it very sad that your government...
would rather deny those in need by shutting down the few avenues those in need have to access affordable drugs rather than address the need itself.

7. If repukes are gonna deprive
people of medication... they should at least present them with a euthanasia alternative.
