NBC news poll: Clark leads Dean nationally
Edited on Wed Nov-12-03 07:02 PM by demdem
Now this post is not to prop up Clark, but to show how silly it is for Deanies or Clarkies to keep posting polls whenever there guy leads in a poll certain poll. This shows that these two guys are the frontrunners like it or not. This also shows that Bill Press can stop saying Clark is sinking. In your face Bill.

5. Clark has yet to run a TV ad. Kind of interesting.
In the 'who is the choice of the corporate whore media' column, look at this page:

http://www.msnbc.com/news/politics_front.asp?ta=y

Clark is mentioned one time, in a negative story, while the rest of the stories bash the other candidates or fellate Dean. The idea that anyone is afraid of Howard Dean is the biggest pile of horseshit I've ever seen.

There was a poll released about two weeks ago that showed Clark had by far the lowest name recognition of the major candidates.

59. Those two items are the key
A while back, right after Clark announced, there was a poll showing Edwards leading in SC with Clark being one of the top three contenders right beneath him. I looked at the poll and pointed out that of the top four contenders, the poll showed Clark had the lowest name recognition and yet he was still in the top tier.

And now, I believe the latest poll showed Clark leading in SC :)

High rankings and low name recognition means he has the greatest potential to take the lead when his name recognition rises. The right wing media is ignoring him, trying to keep his name recognition down, in hopes he'll fade away. He still has not put out a single TV ad. If he's polling this high already, imagine what happens when this telegenic man begins TV ads.

54. WSJ - have to have a subscription
"The survey showed a close national race among Democrats, led at 17% by Mr. Clark, who entered the race in a blaze of publicity in September. Following closely behind with 15% among likely Democratic primary voters was Mr. Dean, who leads in the first primary state of New Hampshire and Wednesday picked up the powerful endorsements of the Service Employees International Union and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. Among other candidates, Mr. Gephardt received 12%, followed by Sens. John Kerry of Massachusetts and Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut at 11%, and John Edwards of North Carolina at 5%."

Also: "That hasn't yet substantially altered Mr. Bush's prospects for re-election in 2004. He continues to run essentially even when matched with a generically identified Democratic opponent. And he draws no more than 52% of the vote, with leads ranging from 12 to 16 percentage points, when matched against Democratic challengers former Vermont governor Howard Dean, Retired Gen. Wesley Clark and Missouri Rep. Richard Gephardt." -- This seems odd to me; I thought that most of the Democratic candidates were consistently 4-10 points behind Bush, not 12-16.

Statistical info: "The survey of 1,003 adults, conducted Nov. 8-10, has a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points."

Dean for president: A Democratic tragedy in one act?
By Matthew Miller
Tribune Media Services

Karl Rove entered the Oval Office and the president looked up.
"Close the door," Bush said, signing some papers. "I'll be with you in a sec."

Rove shut the door and took a seat on the sofa. The president joined him on the sofa opposite. He lit up in a smile.

"Well, Karl, I gotta hand it to you," Bush said.

"It does seem to be working, Mr. President."

Not only would a Clark/Bunnypants* debate be an absolute massacre that would force the Party-Loyal Right-Wing Sub-Media to ULTRA-SOVIET levels trying to spin the Imperial "victory", but our very own Feisty Little Bastard, Dean, wouldn't be a wooden stump when Heartless Dick told his lies like "I earned my fortune without the help of the government".
