3. I am truly amazed and disgusted

that after the rational, thought-out, and polite comments by the Democrats who point out that 160+ of Bush's nominations have been confirmed, many of whom were not supported by the Democrats but confirmed anyway; that the likes of Kay Bailey Hutchison can come on and blather about how horrible it is that Priscilla Owens can't get put on the bench.

At long last, these Republicans have no decency. They won't even acknowledge that their mass rejections of Clinton's nominees are what caused the court shortage in the first place.

4. They've outmaneuvered the Dems...

They also have the mediamegaphone. They are trying to ensure that they will be in control for the next thousand years. We can only hope that they will, like Hitler and his crowd, overreach and self-destruct. Because the Dems would rather go along and get re-elected than fight for their constituencies. Even if that self-destruction happens, we will be left with twenty to thirty years of these diseased right wing judges.

If the thugs manage to get public focus on the minorities that are being held up by Dems it might work. It's a big risk being taken here.
