CBS says Blackboxvoting A "Conspiricy Theory"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It takes two minutes to take a stand.

I just sent this letter to CBS and I encourage all who care to take a stand against biased media spreading half truths and trying to dismiss a very serious situation of our government privatizing our votes, as a "conspiricy theory".

Its a conspiricy that they are not paying enough attention about this issue and I want to let them know.

Please take this letter and sign and send it to

<http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/home/main100.shtml>

at the bottom under the FEEDBACK link, then choose CBSNEWS.COM for you COMPLAINT to be sent.

Takes too minutes to take and stand.

Please feel free to add comments as you like.

Dear CBS,

In repy to your article

<http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/11/11/politics/main583042.shtml>

The people you may refer to as "conspiracy theorists" in your article about "possible" voting fraud, I refer to as people who spend their time researching and paying attention to what is going on much more than most people do and I believe these researchers are doing a public service in bringing to attention the very real dangers of electronic fraud.

I believe you at CBS are doing an extreme disservice to the american public if you classify this as a "conspiracy theory" and dismiss this very frightening situation of the privatization of our votes as citizens, as just a "theory". These researchers on the issue of electronic voting, such as Bev Harris at www.blackboxvoting.org, have done their homework in which she lists the great many problems of electronic voting.

Senator Rush Holt (D-NJ) is also concerned with this issue and has introduced legislation HR 2239 to require a paper trail from every e-voting machine.
<http://holt.house.gov/display2.cfm?id=1071&type=Home>

He is also doing a public service for this country.

Or is he a paranoid conspiracy freak as well?

My question to CBS is, when are you going to start printing the whole unbiased truth behind issues such as this and start doing better research and public services for the american people, like such brave and patriotic individuals I have mentioned above?

huh?

When?

Sincerely yours,

Take a sharpie and use it!

5. Here's mine
In response to your article "Can Voting Machines Be Trusted?" by Beth Lester, I have to wonder just whose side she (and CBS) is on. The fact that electronic voting machines, particularly those that lack a paper trail, make the theft or loss of votes possible is NOT a conspiracy theory. Perhaps if Ms Lester would do a little research, she would find it not only possible, but that there is a clear conflict of interest regarding the machine company executives (for example Mr O'Dell of Diebold is a Bush Pioneer).

Our democracy is clearly placed in jeopardy by these machines, and it is irresponsible of the media to cast this story as a conspiracy. This only calls into question media credibility.
