Ever hear of Joseph Perkins? (rant warning)
He's an editorial writer for the San Diego Union-Tribune.

He's also a shill for the Republican party, a little brown noser who's idea of discourse is to take unrelated things, relate them, and then use the unrelated items to smear those who disagree with the Republicans.

To quote from todays article:
War Critics "Think nothing is worth war, not even the masss murder of nearly 3,000 of thier fellow countrymen on Sept. 11, 2001."

Hey, stupid, what did Iraq and Saddam have to do with that? That's right, NOTHING, asshole! You lying sack of beetle crap, take your strawman and go find the yellow brick road and stop lying for a living.

2nd quote:
"They have nothing for which they are willing to fight, not even to prevent a madman like Saddam Hussein from developing or acquiring chemical, biological or nuclear weapons with which he could one day threaten the United States or her allies."

Evidence, you self rightious ass? That's right, you have NO evidence that wasn't forged! We OWN Iraq RIGHT NOW and your precious President can't find jack of any 'Weapons of Mass Destruction', or even evidence of a attempt to actually make any! The only thing you have found is materials any fool can download from the internet, thus 'proving' that Iraq had a 'program' to build WMD 'someday'.

3rd quote:
"The oppisition to the war in Iraq is less about principle than it is about politics"

BULLSHIT. It's less about politics than it is about 400 hundred dead American servicemen and Gawd alone knows how many dead Iraqis. Linking 9/11 and Iraq was (and is) politics; oppisition to it is about doing the right thing.

4th quote:
"Thier opposition, thier criticism is fueled not so much by reason, but by hatred - toward thier president or toward their country."

Excuse me, but what unit did you serve with when your country called? That's right, folks, he's another chickenhawk who never served. And, as a serving member of the armed forces, my criticism is fueled by the LIES and DISTORTIONS of you and your 'allies'. I love my country. I've served it for 20 years, and I truly believe in "My country, in her dealings with other nations may she always be in the right, but right or wrong, always my country". Your knee jerk defense of the current president and his thieving allies is disgusting. And your attempt to smear me and my fellows with your 'if they disagree, they just hate America' is disgusting.

End rant.

1. Gee, tell us how you REALLY feel, HH
Good rant, BTW. Clean up the personalism and it would be a killer LTTE.

Happy anniversary -- belated, anyway.

Martin

P.S.: I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on the article I posted in GD a little while ago.

6. Concur.
I should know better, but the title was about the anti war movement, so I had to read it.
