This is without doubt one of the most bizarre stories I've seen come down the pike in quite some time...
http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2003/Nov/14/sp/sp01a.htmlThe newest golf frontier to be conquered by Honolulu phenom Michelle Wie lies about 10 minutes from her house.
Wie, who turned 14 last month, has been granted a sponsor's exemption to play in the 2004 Sony Open in Hawai'i, set for Jan. 15 to 18 at Waialae Country Club. The announcement was made at a press conference yesterday at the office of Gov. Linda Lingle, who requested the exemption. Ed. note: Lingle, a Repuke, is in the lower right-hand corner of this picture:
Have you ever seen anything so repulsive in your entire life?! :puke:
I mean, good Gawd, the woman is only fourteen years old, and
already the nasty, filthy Repukes are sinking their poisoned fangs into her! Enough, already!
<sarcasm>
At least Lingle isn't trifling with piddling issues like the sluggish Japanese visitor count, mediocre school test scores, or persistent overdevelopment. No, sirree! She's tackling the most important issue facing Hawai'i today, or indeed, for many generations: the fact that Michelle Wie has as yet failed to qualify for the Sony Open.
