Senate Democrats block Bush's Judicial Nominees
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A39479-2003Nov14.html

The United States Senate talkathon over judicial nominations ended at about 9 a.m. today just as it began nearly 40 hours before, with Democrats blocking confirmation votes on several Republican nominees for the federal bench.

After two straight nights of Republican-sponsored protest against the Democrats' tactics, votes on three nominees showed that nothing had changed: The GOP is still far short of the 60 votes required to end filibusters deployed by the Democrats to prevent up-or-down votes on appeals court nominations they consider too extreme.

Only 53 senators voted to kill the filibusters.

*snip*

To all the Senate Democrats that stood their ground...THANK YOU!
 :toast:  :grouphug:  :toast:  :grouphug:  :toast:  :grouphug:  :toast:  :grouphug:

Does anyone know the specific Senators that successfully stopped..........them? (trying to be as polite as possible)

I'd like to send a thank you letter to each Democratic Senator that stood up to Dubya's cronies.
